Tiagabine (IUPAC name 1-[4,4-bis(3-methylthiophen-2- yl)however-Three-enyl]piperidine-Ternary- carboxylic acid hydrochloride) is an anti-convulsive medication by Cephalon and marketed under the trade name Gabitril.

Though a precise mechanism by which tiagabine exerts its burden on the frame is unknown, it does come out to work as a selective GABA reuptake inhibitor.
